Teaching of Life Skills to be Topic of Sessions

By Staff Writer - Philadelphia Inquirer

Boost Kids founder Rob Heller and local child psychologist Harvey Ziff will lead "Teaching Life's Most Important Lessons to Your Child" tomorrow at the Ambler Theater.

Life skills such as meeting and greeting, making eye contact, using telephone etiquette, and dealing with peer pressure will be covered.

Heller founded the Plymouth Meeting-based Boost Kids after noticing his own child's difficulty in mastering basic people skills. Boost's program was created in conjunction with child psychologists, parents and guidance counselors.

The free workshop will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The theater is at 108 E. Butler Ave. For more information, visit www.boostkids.com or call 610-275-8989.

How BoostKids Can Help:
BoostKids is a program that can help increase a child’s confidence by teaching social skills to children and building their character.  BoostKids has been and is currently being taught in schools, non-profit organizations, and after-school programs.  The program is now available as an at-home training program for children and their parents.  The key training tool of the BoostKids program is an interactive CD-ROM that shows kids the right-way and the wrong-way to handle social situations.  They learn from real kid actors in real-life scenerios!
