Self esteem is not something that you are born with. Self esteem is something that we acquire over time. To a kid, self esteem can be hard to come by. BoostKids is an interactive training program aimed at teaching your child social skills and self confidence with specific life lessons that will improve their attitude and social behavior. The program consists of a BoostKids CD-ROM, Activity Book, Practice Cards and Audio CDs for both parents and children. The BoostKids CD-ROM includes real life video reenactments of social situations that your child is more than likely to encounter. It then shows them the correct and incorrect way to behave in these situations. Studies have shown that teaching children through video or through a computer will accelerate the learning process. Your child will start to gather information and develop their social skills, which will then increase their confidence and build their self esteem. The CD-ROM helps kids to stay interested and is also a fun way for them to learn. Your child will immediately begin to relate to the lessons that are shown in the videos. They will see themselves in the same situations and will know exactly how to respond to them. This insight alone will increase their self esteem.

The BoostKids activity book is filled with even more information for your child and is designed to complement the BoostKids CD-ROM. It includes activities and quizzes that will help your kid raise their self esteem by reinforcing what they have learned. The third component of the system are the BoostKids Practice Cards that are designed to help kids be able to reference the information taught in the program quickly, so that they can apply what they have learned in their everyday behavior.
