Resist the Dark Side
A strategy is a plan for action, so actively strategize your plan to build your confidence.
In life resisting peer pressure can appear everyday and you must choose the path you will take. Resisting peer pressure to participate in something you are not comfortable with is not easy. It takes a great deal of strength and confidence in your self to resist these temptations. Acceptance from peers is a high priority, but it cannot be the highest. Your life, your family, and the potential you hold should be of the highest value. Do not allow someone else to dictate what you will or will not do. Resisting peer pressure is one of the best ways to build your confidence and character. People respect someone who values their life and is strong enough to stand up for what they believe to be appropriate. Your peers might not tell you this right away, but they do feel this inside.
The next time you feel pressure from your peers to do something you are not comfortable with think about what they are trying to do: get you to do something for their own enjoyment at your expense. Value your life and be aware of the decisions you make and resisting peer pressure will become a confidence building opportunity.
Peer pressure is powerful, but resisting peer pressure shows even greater strength.
